The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will meet on Tuesday, May 10, 7 p.m. at Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown. The featured topic will be a discussion about how the Palmerton Area School District and the Palmerton Area Library Association are being impacted by state cuts to education.

"This will be our final official meeting before our summer break but there will be lots of activities to discuss," said Club President, Sarina Berlow. "Attendees are also reminded to bring canned goods to donate to the Palmerton Area Food Bank."Tickets will be available for the Club's Annual Spaghetti & Wine Fundraising Dinner which will be Friday, June 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Big Creek Grange near Beltzville Lake, Lehighton.PADC's monthly meetings are held at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown, 7 p.m., the second Tuesday of the month, September through May. The area covered by the Club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township.
