A swift response by firefighters from the Lehigh-Lausanne and Kidder Township fire companies, as well as the Weatherly ambulance, aided in the finding of a lost four-year-old girl reported missing from her home along North Lehigh Gorge Drive in Lehigh Township Saturday afternoon. The girl was reported to be hiding Easter eggs when her dog ran off with the child in pursuit. Reports from the scene indicated she apparently crossed the road and entered a heavily wooded area. More than an hour later the child was found at 711 Lakeside Drive by neighbors. The child was discovered unharmed. State police from Hazleton were in charge of the search.
