A tractor trailer was heavily damaged by fire 5:30 a.m. Monday while traveling state route 61 in Schuylkill County. The unit, a North American Van & Storage tractor trailer, had just picked up the contents of a home in Temple, Pa. and was traveling north when the crew realized a problem in the rear of the trailer. The operator pulled the unit over just off state route 895 in the parking lot of the Hawk Mountain General Store in the village of Molino. The crew managed to detach the the truck tractor from the trailer. Several fire companies from Schuylkill county responded to the scene finding flames in the rear portion of the trailer. Due to the remote location of the scene water had to be tanked into the site. No injuries were reported in the incident.
