An item in Wednesday's police log, concerning a reported assault/domestic incident, has been clarified by Tamaqua Police.

Police were on patrol at 7:45 p.m., Oct. 14, when they were stopped by Matthew R. Martin, 29, of 5 Gamelands Rd., Tamaqua. Martin reported being assaulted by his child's grandmother after he reportedly went to 310 Biddle St., to visit with his child. It was initially reported he was assaulted by Robin Davidson.

When contacted, Ms. Davidson told officers Martin came into her home uninvited and began a confrontation with Davidson's daughter, Justine Lockhart, mother of the child. When Martin began exhibiting aggressive behavior, Davidson ordered him to leave her home. When he refused to do so she struck him in the face.

Martin was cited for defiant trespass. Following their investigation, officers declined to press charges against Davidson.
