Crowded Kitchen Players will hold auditions Oct. 21 from 7-8:30 p.m. at McCoole's Arts & Events Place, 10 S. Main St. Quakertown for the Christmas comedy "Inspecting Carol," by Daniel Sullivan & The Seattle Repertory Company.

The play will be directed by Ara Barlieb.

Needed are: five women, 21-65 in age; six men: 19-80 in age; one man of color, age 21 or older; and one boy, 10-13 years old.

In this play, a mid-western theatre company struggles to present its worn-out version of "A Christmas Carol." They mistake an aspiring actor for an undercover inspector with the National Endowment for the Arts.

To win his favour they give him both a part in the show and a free hand at rewriting the script. By the time the real inspector arrives, the Dicken's classic is unrecognizable!

"Inspecting Carol" will run Dec. 4-20 at McCoole's Arts & Events Place.

Call (610) 395-7176 or e-mail for audition details.
