@Breif.Head:NL ticket sale

Northern Lehigh has announced ticket sales for its District 11 Class AA championship game against North Schuylkill. The game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at Mahanoy Area High School.

Tickets can be purchased in the high school main office on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, ticket sales will not be available after Wednesday. Tickets are $6 adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. All tickets at the gate on Saturday are $6.

@Breif.Head:Meet the Olympians Night

Jim Thorpe High School will hold "Meet the Olympians Night" will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in the high school gym beginning at 7 p.m.

All members of the winter sport teams will be introduced along with the Band and Cheerleaders.

The public is invited to attend.

@Breif.Head:Tamaqua Elks Hoop Shoot Dec. 5

The Tamaqua Elks Hoop Shoot free throw contest will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Tamaqua Elementary School gym.

The contest is open to all boys and girls ages 8-13. Contestant age groups will be determined by their ages as of April 1, 2010.

Contestants ages 8-9 will shoot at 10 a.m.; 10-11 years will shoot at 11 a.m.; and 12-13 years will shoot an 12 noon.

The contest is free and trophies will be presented for first and second place finishers.

@Breif.Head:Meet the Raiders set for Dec. 2

The Tamaqua Area School District will hold its annual winter "Meet the Raiders Night" on Wednesday, December 2 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Athletic Center. Members of the boys and girls basketball, wrestling, swimming and diving programs along with the cheerleaders will be introduced.

The event is free of charge.

The makeup date is Wednesday, December 9 at 7 p.m.
