I am writing this letter in support of Mr.Tom Gerhard, who is seeking re-election in 2019. I am a small-business owner, with a shop in Carbon County for over 30 years. Mr. Gerhard was born and raised here, therefore has a vested interest in the success of this community. Tom has gone to bat for the locals and small-business owners time and time again. He has shown that he has only the best interest of our small community on his agenda.

He has proven that he will cross party lines to do what is best for Carbon County. He listens to the local people and has his finger on the pulse of what makes this beautiful area tick. He can almost always be found with the great people of this area. Tom splits his time off at many local events in support of organizations and charities. I find he is always approachable and will truly listen and respect any and all concerns his delegates bring forward.

Tom cares deeply about our youth as well. He is a great supporter of the Carbon County Liquid Fuels program, and the staffing of lifeguards and park attendants at our beautiful Mauch Chunk Lake during the summer months. These programs have proven to get our children out and working, keeping our community safe, earning good wages, all while giving back in our area. If you value this community that many of us have enjoyed for generations, or you’re new to the area and are seeking someone to truly represent what has historically made Carbon County one of, in my opinion, the best places to live and raise your families, you will cast your vote for Mr. Tom Gerhard.
