One of the three defendants who failed to appear for preliminary hearings before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on Feb. 16 has already been picked up on arrest warrants issued by the judge.

Jesse Lincovich,34, who provided an address in Mahanoy City, failed to appear for his hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Collin Leibensperger after a Dec. 7, 2015, incident.Bayer issued a warrant for his arrest, which was executed by Tamaqua police on Feb. 21.Lincovich is incarcerated in the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville.Two other defendants failed to show up for their court proceedings.Laura Redner,33, of 310 N. Railroad St., Tamaqua, was scheduled to be in court to answer to three counts each of charges of forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Cpl. Henry Woods in connection with an Oct. 1, 2015, incident.The charges were held for county court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.Taryn Depos,30, of Tamaqua, didn't appear for a hearing on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The charges were filed by Rush Township patrolman Douglas Litwhiler after a Nov. 3, 2015, incident.The charges were held for county court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.Two people elected to have the judge hear their cases with both having all of the charges bound over for trials in the Schuylkill County court.Shawn Edward Martin, 26, of Tamaqua, was charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property in connection with a Nov. 11, 2015, incident. The charges were filed by Woods.Martin was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.Martin waived a hearing on a bad check charge, which was also filed by Woods. That charge stems from a Nov. 26, 2015, incident.Bail in that case was set at $5,000 unsecured.Edward Leonard Rivera Jr.,30, of Tamaqua, faced charges of theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended/revoked license, filed by Tamaqua patrolman Michael Hobbs. The charges stem from an Oct. 31, 2015, incident.Rivera remains lodged in the Schuylkill County prison in lieu of $10,000 percentage bail.Defendants who elected to waive their preliminary hearings and wait for trial at the county level were:Kevin O. Leibensperger,52, of Tamaqua, charged with stalking and harassment in connection with a Dec. 28, 2015, incident. The charges were filed by Hobbs.Leibensperger remains in the Schuylkill County prison in lieu of $25,000 percentage bail.Chris Scott Caldwell,38, of Lehighton, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol filed by Officer Collin Leibensperger. The charges stem from a Nov. 14, 2015, incident.Caldwell was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.Erica Paige Rupert,19, of Drums, faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without headlights. The charges were filed by McAdoo patrolman William Curilla following an Aug. 28, 2015, incident.Rupert was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.Gary Cieniawa,26, of McAdoo, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Tamaqua Police Chief Richard Weaver. The charge stems from a July 30, 2015, incident.Cieniawa was released on his own recognizance.Brandon Hoffman,19, of Oneida, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking. The charges stem from an Aug. 28, 2015, incident and were filed by Curilla.Hoffman was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.Chelsea Walters,23, of 175 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft after an incident on Dec. 12, 2015. The charge was filed by Tamaqua patrolman Corey Herring.Walters was released on $5,000 percentage bail;Walters was also charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property, providing false identification to law enforcement and conspiracy to commit retail theft. Those charges were also filed by Herring, while he was working for the Rush Township police on Dec. 14, 2015.Bail for those charges was set at $10,000 unsecured.Samantha M. McGeehan, 24, of Lansford, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property by Rush Township patrolman Jeffrey Tanner. The charges stem from a Dec. 20, 2015, incident.McGeehan remains in the Schuylkill County prison in lieu of $5,000 percentage bail.
