Eric J. Boxer, 37, of New Ringgold, was cited by state police at the Fogelsville barracks for following too closely after a two-vehicle mishap at 5:31 a.m. Sept. 23 at the intersection of Route 309 and Mosserville Road in Lynn Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 Ford Econoline van south on Rt. 309 when it struck the rear of a 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Jonely Valdez de Vargas, 23, of Hazle Township, after the latter had slowed down for slow moving traffic.

Police said the van sustained front fender and passenger-side quarter panel damages and needed to be towed from the scene. The Tiguan received rear fender damages and was functional.

Neither driver was injured.
