A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident at the Pocono Mountain West High School.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 12:43 a.m. officers were dispatched to the school for a report that a vehicle struck a school security vehicle. The driver was identified as Gregory Matesca, 27, of 141 Maple Spring Drive, Kunkletown, an off-duty EMT, police said.

Matesca resisted arrested and a Taser had to be used to subdue him. He was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and resisting arrest.

He was then taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, East Stroudsburg Campus, for health concerns, police said.
