LV Health Network names vice president

Lehigh Valley Health Network has named Thomas Marchozzi, MBA, CPA, of Conshohocken, its new executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer, effective Jan. 1.

He succeeds Ed O’Dea, who will retire at the end of 2017, after holding that position since 2012. Marchozzi has extensive and diverse experience in not-for-profit and for-profit health care finance and financial strategy. He joins LVHN from Universal Health Services Inc., a for-profit integrated health care delivery system that operates 28 acute care hospitals.

He served the past three years as senior vice president and CFO for the Acute Care division out of Universal’s King of Prussia, headquarters, where he was responsible for hospitals across the U.S. in high-growth, competitive markets.

Marchozzi earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Drexel University, and a master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from Villanova University. He is a certified health care financial professional and a certified public accountant. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
