Lansford hosts paranormal seekers event Saturday

Are you looking to learn a little bit about the history of Lansford, while also searching to see if any spirits of past crimes remain rooted to the area?

If so, Lansford Historical Society has an event for you that will both educate you about the past and send chills up your spine.

The society and paranormal seekers will meet at the society’s museum, located at 117 E. Bertsch St., at 6 p.m. on Saturday for a brief presentation by Paranormal Sightings of PA, a group of paranormal investigators who have over 200 combine years of experience in the field, before breaking up into groups and heading to various locations in search of spirits that remain in the borough.

“We had a very good crowd last year,” said Chris Ondrus of the historical society.

Locations that will be visited include the Welsh Church, No. 7 Hauto tunnel, the site of officer Morgan Morgans’ murder and John P. Jones, mine boss’s murder site.

“They picked up on activity there (Morgans’ murder site) about two weeks ago,” Ondrus said, adding that paranormal activity also was picked up by the investigators at the Welsh church and Hauto tunnel.

Anyone interested in participating in the paranormal investigation and presentation is welcome to the event.

“It should be an interesting evening and we hope you can join us,” Ondrus said.
