Water report

The annual Jim Thorpe Water report is now available. Copies of the report will be mailed to the residents. If you do not receive one and wish a copy, stop by the borough office, 101 E. 10th St., Mon-Fri. 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may also visit the Jim Thorpe website, at www.jtborough.com.

Joint reunion

Members of the 1993 and 1994 graduating class of Jim Thorpe Area High School will hold a joint 25th-year reunion weekend. It will begin with a scavenger hunt and bonfire on Aug. 9. Registration is at 6 p.m. at the high school parking lot. Aug. 10 will be the reunion cocktail reception “Mix. Mingle. and Dance” at the Broadway Underground Lounge, 24 Broadway, starting at 7 p.m. On Aug. 11, the classes will tour the high school and have lunch at Trattoria, Route 903. Yard, bake sale

Members of the Reconstituted Willing Workers of St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold their annual yard and bake sale at the church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 15. If you wish to donate items for the yard sale, please contact the church to make arrangements or contact Diane L. 570-401-3960. Baked goods may be dropped at the church the day of the sale.

Bible school

Vacation Bible School will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 24-28. The program is open to children of the community who are preschool to sixth grade. Call 570-325-3991 to register children or email stjohnsvbs@yahoo.com. The theme this year is the “Mane Event, Roar! Life is Wild — God is Good.”
