Carbon County Commissioners, on Thursday, acted on the following items.

• Approved extending the award or rejection of two Community Development Block Grant contracts for one week. The two projects are the Ginder Field rehabilitation in Summit Hill and the culvert reconstruction and drainage improvements on Red Hill Road in Franklin Township. Bids for the projects were opened Aug. 22.

• Approved letters with the Carbon County Action Committee for Human Services to provide any and all assistance requirements under the Homeless Assistance Program guidelines and funding provisions in the amount of $27,359, for the term July 1 through June 30, 2020; and under the Human Services Development Fund program guidelines and funding provisions in the amount of $50,000, for the term July 1 through June 30, 2020.

• Approved an amendment to an agreement with Delta Dental of Pennsylvania for the term of Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2021. The amendment increases the administration fee 22 cents to $5.57 per enrollee per month.

• Retirement: Kimberly J. Butala of Weatherly, district justice secretary II, effective Oct. 1.

• Resignation: Paul J. Kattner of Jim Thorpe, probation officer I, adult probation, effective Sept. 17.
