PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BIDS BOROUGH OF TAMAQUA STREET MATERIALS The Borough of Tamaqua will receive sealed bids for various street materials for the year 2023. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on the above letting date. Sealed bids must be submitted on forms supplied by the Borough. Contract documents may be examined and obtained at the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252, phone 570-668-3444. The contract contains an Escalator Clause for Price Adjustment of Bituminous Materials. Bids must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked: "BID FOR 2023 STREET MATERIALS". Bids must be addressed to: Borough of Tamaqua, Attn: Tonia L. Collevechio, Borough Secretary, 320 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. The Borough assumes no responsibility for bids that are mailed but not received. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check, money order or bid bond in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid payable to the "Borough of Tamaqua". The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price with surety approved by the Borough.
