Friends mark 50th birthday of Locust Lake State Park

The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks threw a 50th anniversary bash for Locust Lake State Park on Friday afternoon.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which featured food trucks, yard games, music, face painting, touch-a-truck, a children’s author and astrophysicist, children’s museum and stargazing.

It also included a ceremony recognizing the significance of the park for the community.
