T.J. Maxx is coming to Schuylkill County

T.J. Maxx is coming to Schuylkill County.

“We are pleased to announce that T.J. Maxx has signed a lease to come to the Fairlane Village Mall,” Rocco Arruzzo, Pennsylvania regional manager for Lexington Realty International, the managing company for the mall, said Tuesday.

The store sells clothing, home furnishings, pet items and other merchandise.

Arruzzo said the lease, which he said is “long term” was signed “about six weeks ago.”

He said the store will occupy the southern entrance to the mall excluding the area where the movie theater is. The mall is working to move Brothers’ Buffet to potentially the former Wells Fargo spot near Boscov’s, Arruzzo said.

The store will likely not open this year but in 2022.

“It’s going to produce a lot of jobs, another store to shop at,” he said.

Arruzzo said more good economic news could be on the way. “We hope to have more announcements coming down in the future,” he said.
