Preliminary numbers for bear harvest

As of Monday morning, 2,879 bears were taken in Pennsylvania

The largest bear was 719 pounds, taken in Fulton County.

Monroe County was fourth on the list with a 610-pound bear.

Potter was the county with the top harvest, with 162 bears.

Monroe was sixth on the list with 131 bears, and Carbon was 10th with 88 bears.

Schuylkill had 59; Northampton, 21, and Lehigh County, 6.

The season runs through Tuesday and reopens Dec. 30-Dec. 5.
