Arts Council hosts grant writing workshop

Imagine using art to improve your community. What would you do? Who could you work with? How will your idea come together?

A grant of up to $2,500 is available to individuals, community groups and nonprofit organizations seeking to impact a specific community by producing an arts project in Lehigh, Northampton or Carbon counties.

Deadline to apply for a Project Stream grant is June 20.

In May, the Lehigh Valley Arts Council will host three grant writing workshops across the Lehigh Valley, free to the public. The workshops are designed to help prepare people to apply for a Project Stream grant. All levels of grant writing experience are encouraged to attend.

Interested applicants should RSVP their intention to attend one of the following workshops by calling 610-437-5915 or emailing ppa@lvartscouncil.org. All times are 4 to 5:30 p.m.

• May 3, Touchstone Theatre, 321 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem.

• May 8, Anita Shapolsky Art Foundation, 20 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe.

• May 17, Lehigh Valley Arts Council, 840 Hamilton St., Allentown.
