Casino, others cited by liquor board

A Monroe County casino and two other businesses have been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Mount Airy Casino Resort, 312 Woodland Road, Paradise Township, was cited for an incident on July 4 when smoking was permitted in a public place where smoking is prohibited.Also cited was Nick's Lake House LTD, 110 S. Lake Drive, Kidder Township, Carbon County. On June 24 the citation states the business sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a visibly intoxicated patron.Khan's Mongolian Grill LLC, 156 Eagles Glen Plaza, East Stroudsburg, was cited on July 4 for sold, furnished or gave liquor for consumption off premises.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
