Selling points

According to Mark Stewart of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, Harrisburg, Schuylkill County's special counsel for the sale, Investment 360:

• Has a "proven track record in transitioning county-owned homes"• Owns six facilities• Has highest ratings from Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services for quality of care and overall performance• Has excellent inspection surveys• Has highest staffing ratios and time-per-patient metrics• Agreed to open access to Medicaid patients• Will not require a financing contingency• Its current facilities average nearly 79 percent Medicaid patients.• Will give first consideration for employment to all Rest Haven employees (The Butler County nursing facility purchased last year by Investment 360 retained nearly 95 percent of its employees; a new contract was quickly negotiated and overwhelmingly approved). It must abide by the current contract with Rest Haven employees until it expires and a new one is negotiated.• Four of the firm's six facilities have unionized workforces.• Investment 360 and its principals have a strong financial history that indicates a financially stable operator.
