Carbon honors employees for military service

During the Carbon County Veterans Day program on Monday, the county commissioners honored some very special veterans.

Those highlighted included 35 county employees from a number of departments.Commissioners Wayne Nothstein, chairman; William O'Gurek; and Thomas J. Gerhard thanked the men and women who served the country and now serve the county."Thank you for those who served," Nothstein said."As we celebrate Veterans Day, we honor our county employees who also are veterans," Gerhard said. "To say we are proud of you is an understatement."O'Gurek said that these men and women helped make our county a great place.The commissioners then presented the county employees with certificates of appreciation for their service.County employees honored include: Peter Gulick, Ryan Bortee, Christopher P. Burke, Timothy Fritz, Joseph Gurka, Clayton Hunsicker, Jodi Kelly, Bryan Koch, Andrew Yurchak, Wayne Nothstein, Ray H. Bossard Jr., Justin E. Markell, Stephany Rehrig, Brian Uhnak, Gary L. Williams, Bruce A. Nalesnik, Edward F. Balliet, Justin Metz, Ann M. Schlough, Jeffrey P. Aster, Michael S. Greek, Timothy Nothstein, Brian Blose, Alex M. Pope, Jason P. Shellhammer, James E. Bonner, Dwight Nothstein, John Ruff, Robert J. MacDonald, Arthur L. Guth Jr., Carl R. Nothstein, Lewis Gullone, Henry Desrosiers, Eugene Nalesnik and Bernie Markey.
