Palmerton Lions

to meet

Palmerton Lions will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at Fireline Hotel.

Community members are reminded to donate used eyeglasses at Houser Newman Eye Associates, Walters Optometric, First Northern Bank & Trust, Citizens Bank, all located on Delaware Avenue in Palmerton and/or the Palmerton Area High School located on Fire Line Road or by giving them to any Lions member.

Eyeglasses are recycled for those in other countries who are unable to afford corrective lenses. In addition, anyone needing financial assistance with eyeglasses can contact committee chairperson, Jim Sheckler at 610-826-4533. There are financial guidelines that must be followed by all applicants and a written application must be completed and approved.

Over 60 Club

The Over-60 Club of Palmerton will meet at noon Feb. 18 in the Palmerton Borough Hall, 401 Delaware Ave.

The program will be Heart Game. Bring a friend to the meeting.
