September 20, 1975 Lou Mele tosses a nine-yard touchdown pass to Rick McIntyre with 51 seconds remaining to break a tie and lift Panther Valley to a 13-6 victory over West Hazleton. The Panthers' winning drive is set up by a Bob Spezialetti interception with 2:30 left in the game. Mele, who finishes with 119 yards passing, throws completions to Gary Higgins and Mark Cutler to set up the final strike to McIntyre. PV, coached by Caz Kosciolek, also receive a five-yard TD catch from Mele to Cutler.
