September 28, 1962 Joe Visnosky and Bill Carazo both go over 100 yards rushing to lead Palmerton to a 33-13 Lehigh Valley League win over Stroudsburg. Carazo carries nine times for 116 yards with one of his runs a 71-yard touchdown scamper. Visnosky adds 104 yards on just five attempts, including a 55-yard TD run on the Bombers' first play from scrimmage. Bill Heydt adds two short scoring runs and finishes the contest with 79 yards on the ground. The winners, coached by Bill Ruddy, also receive an eight-yard trip to end end zone from Greg Zern.
