Carbon and Schuylkill County Animal Response Teams will be hosting a bike run to raise funds to purchase large animal rescue equipment needed for rescues.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 26, beginning at Pocono Leather, located at Routes 895 and 309 in Andreas.Registration will begin at 9 a.m.The run will cover points throughout Carbon and Schuylkill counties and end back at Pocono Leather at 5 p.m., where there will be food and refreshments.The two groups are also looking for sponsors for the event.To pre-register or for more information on becoming a sponsor, call Diane Sharpless at (570) 778-6886 or email
