Break-ins, theft incidents probed
State police at Lehighton reported on the following burglaries and theft incidents probed by troopers.
A residence at 1201 Kunkletown Road, in Saylorsburg, owned by Liberty Lutheran Services, was entered sometime on Apirl 29. Entry was gained through a rear window. Removed was copper piping. There was also damage to a basement window.
The residence of Christopher Wayne Saemmer, 612 Apple St., Bowmanstown, was entered sometime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 14. Removed was cash and a cell phone, troopers said.
The home of Michael Andrew Maczko, 49, of 654 Meixell Valley Road, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, was entered through a side door. Removed was a 32-inch television and a laptop computer. The incident occurred sometime between May 15 and 16.
Two theft incidents are being probed.
The 2006 Toyota Corolla of Adolph Torres, of 119 Empress Lane, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, was reported stolen about 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 19. It was found on Pheasant Run Road, in Chestnuthill Township, about 3:45 a.m. by state police at Fern Ridge. The vehicle was abandoned and was damaged in an apparent crash.
Paul Ringheiser, 62, of Kunkletown, reported the license plate was stolen from his camper while he was camping at various locations along the east coast. The incident occurred sometime between May 6 and 14.
