Northumberland driver facing DUI

Published July 29. 2013 05:06PM

A Northumberland County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Carlene L. Halcovich, 52, of Mount Carmel, was stopped about 1 a.m. on Monday, July 29, along SR4030, between Gilberton and Girardville, in Butler Township, for a traffic violation.

She showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. She was then taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the barracks for a breath test.

The test revealed she was over the legal limit, troopers said, and she will be charged.
