Beatrice Burbes, a resident of the Hometown Nursing Home and formerly of Lehighton, is celebrating her 101st birthday. She was born on July 17, 1912.

She is the mother of two sons: Bruce Fritzinger of Lehighton, married to Charlotte; and Elmer Fritzinger, who passed away in 2001.Beatrice is the wife of the late Lewis Burbes, who passed away in 1979.A celebratory dinner is planned at the Beacon Diner in Hometown.
