St. John Lutheran

Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer Service with Holy Communion at St. John the Evangelist Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will begin at 7 p.m.

For those who wish to come early, a free simple supper will be served at 6 p.m. followed by a brief Bible study at 6:30. For more information, or if the weather is questionable, call the Rev. Marjorie Keiter, (570) 273-4038.

Service will not be held if school is canceled or dismissed early due to bad weather on Wednesdays.

Summit Hill

St. Paul's at a glance

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill announces the following events for the month of February:

"Souper" Bowl Sunday will be held on Feb. 3. A monetary collection will be taken to benefit the local food pantry.

The church council will meet on Feb. 5 beginning at 7 p.m.

A congregational meeting will be held immediately following the worship service on Feb. 10. All members are encouraged to attend this important meeting to review and approve the annual budget.

On Feb. 12,St. Paul's will hold Donut Night starting at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship.

Sunday school class at St. Paul's is held each week at 9 a.m. followed by worship services at 10:30 a.m. with Vicar Ben Seibert presiding.

Visitors are always welcome.
