Carbon man facing numerous charges
A Carbon County man is facing numerous charges.
Nesquehoning police said Sean Christopher McFadden, 23, of 318 E. Catawissa St., is facing charges for various auto break-ins.
Police said on Jan. 7 they received complaints from Jane Becker, Melissa Suveg, and Christ Heckman, concerning their vehicles being entered and items removed. Police learned that McFadden had been released from the prison on Jan. 3 on furlough to enter a rehab program but he failed to do so.
A further investigation led to the arrest of McFadden for the various entries and the items taken. Police said some of the items were located at McFadden's residence when police went there to look from him and spoke with his mother, Diane McFadden.
As a result of the investigation police charged Sean McFadden with three counts each of theft from a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.
He was also charged with escape for failure to return to the prison per the court order releasing him on furlough.
He is currently in the county prison on other charges.
His mother was also charged for hindering his apprehension.
