The Gabriel Chamber Ensemble (GCE), based in New Ringgold, performed recently at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Schuylkill Haven.

The performance consisted of Beethoven's "Spring" Sonata - Allegro for Violin and Piano; Ravel Noctuelles from Miroirs for Piano; Schubert Piano Trio Op. 99 - Andante un poco mosso; Mozart Duo for Violin and Viola, K. 424 - Adagio and Allegro; and Fauré Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 15.

The next performance of the ensemble, which is celebrating its 23rd year, will be Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. at the church.

Named after Gabriel Fauré for its rendition of the composer's piano quartets, the ensemble routinely entertains audiences with traditional works, including those by Ornstein, Widor, Strauss, Saint-Saens.
