February 22, 1972 Debbie Binder pours in a game-high 30 points to help the Palmerton girls roll to a 63-32 win over Whitehall and clinch the Lehigh Valley League championship. Binder scores the game's first six points to help her team build an early lead. She tallies 21 of her points in the second half to help the undefeated Bomberettes, coached by Bill Piper, pull away for the easy victory. Barbara Donchez contributes 16 points to the winning cause while Marilyn Leindecker adds 10.
