Monroe man facing charges

A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 2 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, at A Pocono Country Place development in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle parked at a vacant house. Upon investigation police identified a person in the vehicle as Anthony Dykeman, 27, of Tobyhanna.

While speaking with Dykeman officers observed a marijuana joint on the front seat. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a bag of marijuana. Dykeman was also found to be in possession of a switchblade knife.

He is facing charges of drug possession and possession of a prohibited weapon.
