Kayla M. Heffley, 28, of Bath, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:41 a.m. Dec. 14 on Silver Springs Boulevard in Eldred Tow nship, Monroe County, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said she was driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonata northbound when she fell aleep. The vehicle drifted off the east shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole with its fron end. Polcie said the pole was snapped in half and the car came to rest facing northwest off the east shoulder of the roadway with the pole laying actross the car.Police said P.P & L. was notified to report, as did the Polk Fire Company and PennDOT. The vehicle sustained major damages and was towed from the scene by Borger's Towing.Police said Heffley will be cited as a result of the crash.
