Arguably the biggest concert weekend of the year occurs tonight through Sunday at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

* Tonight, Paul Revere and the Raiders brings its 60s and 70 music - and its fancy attire that it wears even when it isn't Halloween weekend - to the venue.* Tomorrow, Ambrosia with special guest Firefall debuts at Penn's Peak.* Sunday, country superstar Martina McBride plays before a sellout crowd.In a phone interview, Paul Revere said the audience can expect to hear all the bands hits from the days of the legendary Dick Clark."We're not going to give anything new because that's not what the people want," he laughed.Revere helped form the band back in 1958.The first hit record came in 1960.They hosted two shows for Dick Clark, including "Where the Action Is," for 2 1/2 years.Their rendition of "Louie, Louie" got Paul Revere and the Raiders signed with Columbia Records. It wasn't the same version as The Kingsman had.He and Dick Clark became very close friends. They owned a night club together in Las Vegas. Two weeks before Clark passed away, the two men and their wives had dinner together in California.Numerous close friends of Revere have recently died.He and Andy Williams were working together in Branson when Williams died.Paul Revere performed a rock 'n roll jam with Davey Jones and were planning a project together when Jones passed away.The biggest hit for Paul Revere and the Raiders was "Indian Reservation." Initially radio stations rejected the song. Revere said he and a friend got on a motorcycle and "drove across the country stopping at the smaller stations." The song soared to number one.From Los Angeles in 1970, David Pack, Joseph Puerta, Christopher North and Burleigh Drummond started the musical group Ambrosia.They were a progressive rock band throughout most of the '70's with lengthy touring schedules and 3 album releases. They soon switched their sound to a more Pop/Jazz influence, which North was unhappy with and this caused him to leave the band.Ambrosia began extensive touring in 1978 with Fleetwood Mac, Heart and The Doobie Brothers. Their first gold hit was 1978's "How Much I Feel" which hit #3 on the charts.In 1980 Ambrosia scored 2 of the year's biggest hits with "You're The Only Woman" at #13 and "Biggest Part of Me" at #3. That album, One Eighty, also earned the band 3 Grammy nominations including one for Best Pop Vocal Group. In 1982,Firefall helped give birth to the musical genre that we know as country rock.Their first album, Firefall, took only one month to record and mix. It was released in the spring of '76 and became Atlantic's quickest album to go gold. "You Are The Woman," the second single off the album, flew into the Top 10 and became an overnight pop and mellow rock hit.Their second album, Luna Sea, was certified gold after less than 2 months on the Billboard Charts. The soft rock ballad "Just Remember I Love You" shot up the charts into the Top 10.The band continued to tour throughout the 80's playing fairs, festivals, theatres and occasionally joining their friends The Doobie Brothers, The Beach Boys and Little River Band on stage. In 2004 their first album, Firefall, was certified platinum with over 1,300,000 sales.Martina McBride is an icon in country music, having won every major award possible including "Entertainer of the Year."She has had numerous number one records including "Independence Day," a heartbreaking story on spousal abuse; "Like A Broken Wing," and "My Baby Loves Me (Just the Way that I Am").
