Richard H. Melicharek, 50, 319 N. Columbia St., Tamaqua, had his bench warrant dissolved by Judge Charles M. Mller and new bail set at $1,000 unsecured with special conditions: he must reside at the Columnbia Street address and not relolcate without written permission from District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon.A warrant was issued to have him brought to court when he failed to appear before a district judge last June 26 for a preleminary hearing. He faces prosecution on a charge of theft by deception filed by West Penn Township Patrolmam Jaswon Lorah, who charged him with passing bad checks to Raymond Scheidel, 17 Mill Drive, Tamaqua.Heather Marie Bernitsky, 33, of 125 Coal St., Cumbolla, Blythe Township, had her bench warrent dissolved by Judge James P. Goodman and bail of $1,000 reinstated.A warrant was issued when she failed to appear at the courthouse last July 2 for a hearing before Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin. She faces a charge of passing a bad check for a rental payment. She also faces a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol filed by Trooper Alyssa J. Becker after being stopped last Nov. 5 on SR61 in North Manheim Township.Johnny Israel Burgos, Pottsville, 27, had his bench warrant dissolved by Judge Miller and bail set at $500 percentage cash with conditions: he must reside at 1339 W. Allen St., Allentown, with his grandfather and must not relocate without written permission and shall not travel outside the state without written permission from District Attorney Noon.The bench warrant was issued when he failed to report for a hearing before a district judge last May 4. He faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia filed by Pottsville by Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey.Jonathan Montalvo, 33, Shenandoah, had his bench warrant dissolved by Judge Miller and he was remanded to the county prisoln until his case is disposed.A warrant for his arrest was issued for failiong to appear in the county couryt last April to select a jury for his trial. He faces a charge of DUI of alcohol filed by Shenandoah police.Justin Reber, 19, Schuylkill Haven, had his bench warrant issued last May 18 dissoved and because bail was previously revoked he was remanded to the county prison without bail to await trial on charges of statutory rape and corruption of minors filed by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David T. George.Jeffery Snyder, 43, of Saint Clair, had his bench warrant dissoved by Judge Goodman which was issued last May 10 and new bail set at $5,000 unsecured bail with the special condition that Snyder reside at 118 Cherry St., Saint Clair, and not relocate without court approval.He faces a charge of theft of electrical services from Saint Clair Electric Company at 165 Third St., filed by Patrolman Martin H. Sterner.RevocationsDuane Joseph Bainbridge, 38, Frackville, had his paroled revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and his 242 days of liberty dissallowed and added to his maximum sentence and his new release date is Dece. 16, 2013.He was granted immediate parole for another18 months upon agreeing to a daily curfew, must reside with his sister at 7 Lia Road, Frackville, and not relocate without prior approval by his probation officer, shall not posses or consume any alcohol, must undergo drug and alcohol revaluation, and must participatre in the Recovery Edge Program. Bainbridge had pleaded guilty in May 2011 to charges of burglary and after a jail sentence was released on parole.Ronald Elvin Reed, 43, Orwigsburg, had his parole revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence and his time of liberty taken away and added to his sentence which extends his date of release to Sept. 30, 2012.His parole violations were for failing to report on a weekly basis to his parole officer and failure to refrain from assaultive behavior, physical or verbal when he resisted arrest. Reed was found guilty by a jury in September 2010 of charges of simple assault and was placed on probation 23 months. He has one previous revocation.Melissa Hines, 38, Pottsville, had her parole revoked by Judge Miller and she was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of her sentence and 216 days of liberty disallowed and added to her sentence and her maximum date for release was extended to April 11, 2013. The court advised the probation officer to work with her to get her enrolled in a drug treatment facility and if this is accomplished she may receive an early parole.She had pleaded guilty to the drug paraphernalia charge and was released on parole. She violated her parole by failing to report to her probation officer, failed to notify of a change of address, and failed to make payments on her costs and fines.
