Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser planning for March 31 at Fritz's

The Advisory Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge serving Carbon County will hold their annual "Bowl for Kid's Sake" bowl-a-thon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Fritz's Lanes and Pro Shop, Second and South streets, Lehighton.

This fun filled day provides an opportunity for anyone to join in the Bowl for Kids Sake. Teams are invited to participate. Businesses are invited to become a sponsor.Volunteers are needed as board members and as mentors.For additional information, call 1 (800) 955-4376.Bowler/team registration is now open for the Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser. Registration requires a team of five bowlers (family, friends, coworkers, neighbors) and fill out the form. Forms are available online at bbbsnep.com/bowl-for-kids-sake-2012-registration.Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) provides a system of outgoing evaluation and support which is proven by independent studies to help families by improving the odds that "Littles" will perform better in school and avoid violence and illegal activities, and have stronger relationships with their parents and others.The organization has matches throughout Carbon County that continue to thrive. The organization continues to work to match more children with a mentor.With a network of nearly 400 agencies across the country, BBBS serves a quarter million children annually. Each participant is encouraged to raise at least $50 in pledges. Top money raiser wins a trip for two.Collect $100 or more to be eligible for gift certificates, overnight getaways and much more. Collect $50 and receive a Bowl for Kids' Sake T-shirt. Team captains receive a free T-shirt.Free refreshments all day long.
