Monroe domestic incident probed

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a Monroe County man is facing charges following a domestic incident.

Police said on Oct. 18 about 8:30 p.m. they were dispatched to 21 Summit Drive, Mount Pocono, for a reported domestic incident. On scene the officers were met by Vanessa Barnard, 24, and Veronica Barnard, 18, both of Boonton, N.J. Vanessa Barnard stated she came to the residence to drop off her children to their father, Kerey Cousar, 27, of that address.

She stated Cousar then attacked both women. Officers observed physical injuries to both women. Cousar had left the scene prior to the arrival of police and could not be found.

Police have charged him with endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, and harassment.
