A Schuylkill County resident is facing charges following a confrontation at his residence with a propane gas delivery man.

State police at Frackville said the incident ocurred about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the home of John Phillips, 57, of 120 Zion Grove Rd., in Union Township. During a dispute over the delivery of the propane by Grenier, Phillips allegedly fired a shot in the air with a handgun and made verbal threats towards the driver.Phillips was placed under arrest and charged with one count each of simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
