State police at Frackville are investigating a crash and a reported theft of vehicle, which are both related.

Troopers said on Saturday, Aug. 11, about 9:20 a.m. they responded to a reported crash along a dirt road, a fifth of a mile north of Cherry St., in Mahanoy Township, just outside Frackville.

On scene troopers found a 2003 Acura crashed into a tree with a male located inside sleeping. Contact was made with the vehicles' owner, Gene Pasker, of Frackville, who said the car had been stolen from outside his home.

The male found in the car was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, for treatment of minor injuries. The persons name was not released by troopers, who said they are still investigating the incident.
