State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes investigated by troopers this week.

A two vehicle crash was reported about 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, along SR183 in Cressona. Troopers said Tommy R. Miller, 58, of Pottsville, was stopped in a 2006 Dodge Durango for a red traffic light while John A. Prehl, 39, of Auburn, was southbound operating a 1998 Subaru. Prehl failed to stop and the front of his vehicle hit the rear bumper of the Durango.

No one was injured and damages were minor to both vehicles. Troopers cited Prehl for following too closely.

Another rear-end type crash was reported about 3:17 p.m. on Wednesday along SR443 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old female from Orwigsburg was operating a 2001 Honda Civic eastbound and came upon a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser, operated by a 17-year-old female from New Ringgold, stopped attempting a left turn onto N. Green View Road.

The first teen could not stop and the front of her Civic hit the rear of the Cruiser.

The New Ringgold teen sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

The Civic sustained major damage to the front end and had to be towed from the scene while the Cruiser had minor damages.

Troopers cited the Orwigsburg teen for following too closely.
