State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred about 4:17 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, along Old Stage Road, Minisinic Trail, Mt. Pocohontas, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Kysheem Lynch, 21, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala westbound when he lost control. The car traveled onto the shoulder, then crossed the center line and struck a tree on the other side. Lynch was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers also probed a two vehicle crash about 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday along SR940 at Spurr Road, in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Molly Giles, 29, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2005 Ford F150 pickup truck westbound and approaching Spurr Road, while Ronald Roque, 73, of Pocono Lake, driving a 2004 Honda Odyssey, was stopped on Spurr Road at a stop sign.

Roque started to pull out and pulled into the path of Giles, who swerved to avoid a collision but could not.

Both drivers were not injured but a passenger with Roque, his wife, Shirley, 72, complained of a chest injury and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
