Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly will again host Carbon County Alzheimer's Memory Walk for the 11th consecutive year. The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at Heritage Hill. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The three mile walk through the borough of Weatherly will take place at 10 a.m. Other events to raise awareness and funds are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon that day.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Alzheimer's Association.

Alzheimer's is a disease that has affected over 5 million Americans and causes them to behave erratically, becoming disoriented and forgetful. The Alzheimer's Association provides vital programs to help caregivers of Alzheimer's patients, including: family caregiver training, support group assistance, Safe Return program, and professional in-service programs.
