State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one vehicle crash in Carbon County.
Troopers said Karen Ann Amendolta, 39, no address given, was operating a 2005 Dodge Caravan along Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest Township, about 8:31 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
Amendolta and a five-year-old male in a restraint seat, were not injured, another passenger, a 10-year-old female sustained a minor injury.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Lehighton and Palmerton ambulances and Penn Forest Fire Company volunteers.
Troopers also investigated a crash about 7:06 a.m. on Friday along SR715 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Wiliam T. Burke, 47, of Saylorsburg, was backing his 2004 Mazda out of a driveway and throught the road was clear and backed into the path of a 2001 Nissan Altima driven by Jessica L. Klippel, 17, of Effort, who was southbound.
Burke was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance. A passenger with Burke, Daisy L. Burke, 17, same address, sustained a minor injury and a second passenger, Abigail P. Bush, 17, of Saylorsburg, was not injured. Klippel sustained a minor injury, troopers added.
Troopers cited Burke for vehicle entering or crossing roadway.
