Construction tools reported stolen

A large amount of construction tools were reported stolen in a Monroe County incident.

State police at Fern Ridge said the tools were removed from the 1998 GMC truck of Mark Maggio, of Bartonsville, while parked and unlocked at 2918 Rocky Ridge Rd., in Barton Glen, Jackson Township.

The theft occurred sometime overnight of July 11-12.

Troopers are also investigating a criminal mischief incident. Dariusz Machala, of 302 Brittney Drive, Valley View Estates, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported an unknown person put black paint in small plastic bags and then propelled the bags against the victim's home. The bags burst and splattered the paint on the white vinyl siding, troopers said.

The incident occurred sometime between July 11 and 21.
