Community meal

From 5-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, a free community meal will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton.

All are welcome to enjoy a meal and fellowship.

Miller-Keystone Blood drives

There will be two Miller Blood Drives in Palmerton in the month of December. The first will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton.

The second will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16, at First United Church of Christ, Delaware Avenue, Palmerton.

Christmas Cantata

Faith Alive United Methodist Church, 678 Pine St., Bowmanstown, will be holding a Christmas Cantata "In Fullness if Time," at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10, and at 3 p.m. on Dec. 11.

Heritage Center

The Feature Room of the Palmerton Area Historical Society's Heritage Center, 410 Delaware Ave., now has a display of model railroads. Bring your kids, or relive your childhood, and view scale models of famous trains and cars, including some used exclusively by the New Jersey Zinc Company.

Admission is free.

The center is open various hours from Wednesday through Saturday each week, except holidays. Phone (610) 824-6954 for a recording listing the hours each day.
