Single-lane patterns at turnpike worksite

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists traveling on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) of the turnpike between the Lehigh Tunnel and Mahoning Valley (Exit 74) Interchange to be prepared for nighttime single-lane patterns to impact traffic through Thursday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning.

Crews will begin performing bridge deck repairs northbound in the right-lane on Tuesday (9/14). Work will continue in the southbound left-lane on Wednesday (9/15) and the right-lane Thursday (9/16).All work will be conducted overnight and motorists should be aware of the potential for delays while the single-lane patterns are in place.Motorists traveling northbound and southbound should stay alert for slow moving or stopped traffic within the project work zone located between milepost A74-A76 until crews are off the roadway.
