Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes investigated by troopers along Monroe County roadways recently.

A two vehicle crash occurred about 7:02 p.m. on Aug. 26 along Frantz Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Cynthia Rodriguez, 30, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2004 Hyundai Elantra westbound while Angelo Colon, 46, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2009 Nissan Murano eastbound. Troopers said Rodriguez crossed the center line and struck Colon's vehicle on the rear driver side with the front driver side of her car.No one was injured but damages were disabling to both vehicles.Troopers cited Rodriguez for driving on roadways laned for traffic.The second crash occurred about 6:50 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, along Sherwood Forest Road in Jackson Township. Troopers said Michael E. Sprouse, 46, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2004 Nissan Maxima eastbound and lost control while negotiating a right hand curve. The vehicle went onto the berm where it struck a boulder with the undercarriage. After impact the car continued southeast and struck a small tree with the front end where it came to rest.Sprouse was not injured. Troopers said he was cited for traveling on roadways laned for traffic.
