Golden agers

At the beginning of the April 26 meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers, there was a moment of silence observed for past member Jasper Tessitore.

President Bazik opened the meeting with a prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. The Sunshine Lady had only one on the sick list.

On July 12, the group will have a guest speak on the prevention of identity theft. The public is invited to attend.

Members celebrating April, May, and June birthdays will be honored at the June 14 meeting.

The next meeting will be held on May 10 at St. Joseph's Hall in Summit Hill at 1 p.m. A request is made for all women to wear pink in honor of Mother's Day.

NCFC auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary to the New Columbus Fire Company will meet on Tuesday, May 4 at 7 p.m.

Serving on the hospitality committee will be Nancy Canzoneri and Martha Ciarvella.

Gerry McConnon, president, reminds all members to bring their hoagie papers.

Alex's lemonade stand

On Saturday, May 8 Alex's Lemonade Stand will be at the Nesquehoning Fire Company sponsored by Luke Jachowicz and his family. Luke was diagnosed with cancer and received treatments.
